The Travels of Tug 44 |
Village of Newark, NY. |
Tug 44 sits at the Port of Newark NY, also known as the T. Spencer Knight Canal Port. Definitely a good stop.
The Village of Newark has a very nice port, large enough to serve a dozen or more trawlers at once. This building is the dockmaster's office. Downstairs is an air-conditioned shower and laundry room, all free.

Most trawlers use the north wall, which has free 30/50 amp electric and water.
The south wall has 15 amp electric.

One of my favorite eateries on the Canal: Parker's Grille & Tap House.
