Gasport, NY, is a very small village (population 1,200) centered around the Erie Canal at the Gasport Lift Bridge. Most of the people live on farms in the surrounding countryside.

The Gasport pier is a small facility, offering 30 amp electric for 3 boats at a very shady spot on the Canal. Rather nice rural location.

The Gasport Guard gate provides flood control in times of heavy rainfall or spring snow-melt.
